The grounds are open to the public, so you can wander around outside, but the inside isn't generally open. I was lucky to meet one of its caretakers, who also runs the Cafe there. He showed me around parts of the interior and knew so much about its history. He was an amazing guy and made the whole visit really enjoyable.

Entry is free, and it's open from 6am to 9pm. Stick to the paths as you explore, and enjoy the history. You get a view across the water toward the bridge to Sweden, and there's a huge mermaid statue in the car park.

A really cool, easily accessible place with relatively few visitors. The fort was a strategic site for Danish armies in the past and will be again in the future. We would have really appreciated some guides, even in written form, since there are no guides or tours. Otherwise, it's a very nice place.

You can wander freely around this very cool fort. There are great views over the water and nearby swimming facilities, and you can see the bridge to Sweden.

There are lots of food options nearby, and the location is great. The view is lovely too. You can ride a bicycle along the way to get there, and it’s about 9 km from Copenhagen airport, around 30 minutes at most.
