Rene' Knudsen and Tinna Brandt made our early departure so easy. With our 7 o'clock ferry to Kalundborg, they offered to have breakfast ready at 6:15. We also loved Rene's welcome dinner, and the waitresses were cheerful and very professional. We didn't feel like trying any other dinner places on the island. When they saw our three suitcases at check-in, they moved us straight into a bigger room at no extra charge. It was lovely, with its own balcony, and the buffet breakfast each morning from 8 to 10 was great. A wonderful stay and outstanding service. Sincerely, Tina and Ted Storm, Florida, USA

Dinner was delicious and very recommendable, and our room in the annex was spacious and nicely renovated. One frustrating rule for smokers, though: the terrace is off limits, even when it's almost empty, so you're sent to the parking lot instead.

The service was friendly and great, but the meal was disappointing. My girlfriend and I both disliked our starter, and I couldn't stay for dessert. I ordered the lobster salad, but the grilled pumpkin and dried tomatoes were extremely sour. For the price, I expected a decent piece of salad instead of a hard, white bit at the base of the head. The sour ingredients overwhelmed the lobster, and the salad was difficult to eat. Not what I expected at that price.

Really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are small, but cozy, clever and very clean. The food was good, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this hotel.

The food was decent, though a little pricey for what you get, and the service was mediocre. Compared with my visit in 2012, the quality has slipped.
