Balliwood B&B

The weather wasn't great, but our host couple more than made up for it with their lovely service. Breakfast was incredibly tasty, enjoyed in a really cozy setting. Our room was clean and nice, with a lovely double bed, and the price was reasonable. Staying a few days at Balliwood, Samsø was a great choice. We'd like to come back.

I booked a vintage bus trip with Balliwood three weeks before we were due to leave, but when we arrived, the bus was full and we couldn't go. Apparently they'd missed my email, or something like that. The owner didn't offer us a place the next day because there weren't enough guests to fill the bus. It felt like making money from a full bus mattered more than making sure customers had a good experience. Poor form.

This is truly the coziest, best B&B we've visited, with the sweetest hosts who really care about their guests. Breakfast was wonderful, with freshly baked bread and all the extras, including specialties like ginger shots.

We've gone with a couple of friends two years running and are already planning to return next year. The atmosphere in the middle of Ballen is lovely, and the place feels homey while still being professionally run. Highly recommended!
