Lalandia has loads to fill a day: the waterpark is great fun, with slides for all ages, and there’s mini golf, bowling, ice skating, an indoor zipline, restaurants, a supermarket, Monkey Town and a well-equipped fitness center. It’s all within walking distance of the houses, though little kids who aren’t keen on walking might need a scooter or small bike. We spent six days, five nights at the park and found it clean, beautiful, friendly and well organized, with a family and kid-friendly feel. There are big playgrounds everywhere, plus a skate park, green space, forest paths and routes for walking the dog or going for a run.

We keep coming back with our granddaughters, even though it isn't cheap. Swimming is great, and when we eat at the restaurants with them, both the food and service are great. We've stayed at the Legoland hotel and also at the campsite in our motorhome, where the service was great too. Everything is clean and works as expected. Highly recommend a visit, but bring your wallet if you want to enjoy it :-)

We'd happily return. The swimming pool is really nice, with slides for everyone and services arranged for all. The houses are large, well equipped and not outdated, with parking at the house and a charging cable. There are play areas nearby and a train to the main square, though it can be a long walk from about half the houses. The square has lots of restaurants and things to do. Buy a gold band and you can use everything without limits. The restaurants are like those at other holiday parks, not the best but perfectly fine, and takeaway is great.

LEGOLAND Billund Resort, LEGO House and the Lalandia Center gave us several great days out. The Center itself is fun to visit, with its artificial sky ceiling that feels a bit like Las Vegas, though food and other items in Denmark are quite expensive. Billund is quiet, even on Saturday evenings, and there's generally little traffic. Our cabin, Hyldestien 169, was at the far end of Lalandia, which was awkward with children aged five and three who walk slowly. We relied on the little train so much that we bought the annual parking pass, since waiting for the train felt like a waste of time. The cabin was reasonably clean and somewhat spacious, but could have been cleaner. It stayed warm even with the heat off at 10 degrees Celsius, and I wouldn't want to be there in a hot summer. Utilities are charged after the stay. Water was €13 per cubic meter, which seems very profitable for Lalandia when water isn't THAT expensive. We paid €45 despite mostly leaving the heating off. Water was the biggest cost, though we only used the bath twice and otherwise showered. The airport is a major downside. Maersk cargo flight DJ901, a large Boeing 777, leaves every day at 5:40 AM. The engines are clearly audible starting around 5:30 even through earplugs, and the kids woke early every day. I like planes, just not at 5:30 in the morning. Light sleepers should bring good earplugs and hope the starting turbofans don't wake them. It really is every single day. The pool was decent, but some of the water felt a few degrees too cold, while one pool was pleasantly warm. Lifeguards weren't always attentive, sometimes causing problems with teenagers who only think of themselves.

The resort has some good things going for it: restaurants, a nice atmosphere, a sauna, and it's about a 20-minute walk to Legoland. But the accommodation felt very bare for the price. There was no soap, and towels and bedsheets cost extra, with guests expected to put the sheets on themselves. They charged for water, heating and electricity at checkout too. For eight people staying three days, we got just one 15-liter garbage bag. The shower looked like a cheap campsite one, the sink was clogged, and the equipment all seemed as cheap as possible with little maintenance. No one checked in with us during the stay.
