The staff were friendly, the rooms nice, and paying about €240 a night wasn't the issue. The bathrooms felt more like campsite facilities, though, and the parking setup left a really bad taste. The Legoland parking app wouldn't work when we arrived, so I couldn't pay. Reception told me parking was free while the app was down. The next day there was a 1,000 DKK ticket on my windshield. That's outrageous. As a law graduate, I strongly advise people not to pay it: the operator should provide a working payment system or another way to pay if the app fails. They should have sorted the payment system out before charging guests for its failure. I suspect other hotel guests have complained about these fines too. They should work with EasyPark, as is common elsewhere in Denmark. I've never had a problem with them. This felt like a total rip-off, and the resort should reconsider how it treats hotel guests.

The breakfast was chaotic, with long lines for hot food and drinks because the dining room couldn't handle the number of guests. It made for a stressful start to the day. We paid €180 a night for the most basic business room, but it felt dated and overdue for a proper refresh. There were hardly any power outlets, none by the beds, and we could hear footsteps and children running in the hall and the floor above. It was hard to relax, and the room quality didn't match the price. We know this is mainly a family hotel, but the room, limited amenities and breakfast made it poor value.

A great pick if your kids, or you, are mad about LEGO. There are different room types for different group sizes and LEGO set preferences, and you get a separate entrance straight into the park, so you can go back and forth whenever you like. Breakfast is good, just head down early before it gets crowded.

It felt closer to a step up from a Premier Inn than a four-star resort. The Comfort Hotel Copenhagen worked better for our family of four and had two bathrooms. Here, the resort seemed worn: chipped paint, tired carpets, and mold in the showers and hallway.

Lovely hotel, with helpful, professional staff and easy access to Legoland. There’s lots of LEGO stuff for kids to build, and the breakfast spread is great. Go for the Ninjago room.
