The food stood out, both breakfast and dinner were really good quality, and the service was good too. There’s bowling and a restaurant among the good facilities. The rooms are fine, but the hotel is starting to feel old.

If you get there before it’s late, you can use the pool, which helps make it good value, especially with children. Breakfast is okay. The rooms feel a bit dated, with poor ventilation, and the shower wall is too short, with no curtain or door.

There was plenty of free parking, and we noticed they have a pool. We stayed on our way from Norway to Lego Billund. It feels like a very 1990s European hotel, clean enough but quite dated. Breakfast wasn’t great.

The food was great, and otherwise it’s a lovely place with lots of facilities. But the beds had big spots and there was mold in the shower. You can hear every sound from the surrounding rooms, so it’s impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

Pejsegården still feels like an 80s time capsule, and even the lunch menu seems retro. I was there some 40 years ago and not much seems to have changed. Maybe I’ll see whether it’s different in another 40 years, when I’ll consider coming back....
