Vigen Apartments

The location puts you right among the shops, and the apartments were lovely, clean, and well kept. Communication was very good too. Deliveries to the shops can make mornings a little noisy. Some apartments look out over the bay.

The apartment was peaceful, clean, and fresh, with a well-equipped enough kitchen, laundry available, and a very comfortable bed and sheets. It was a little narrow for two adults, though. We stayed for a week in apartment no. 18 at Vigens holiday apartments in Ebeltoft, a very central spot near the shopping, promenade, and grocery store, about a 10-minute walk away. The price felt reasonable, and we’d happily return, but next time we’d choose a place with a view of Ebeltoft Bay, which is incredibly beautiful. I booked through Booking expecting a terrace or a view, then found out clearly in the confirmation that this apartment had neither. That felt misleading on Booking. Frank, the on-site contact, gave us good information and was easy to reach.

From the apartment looking over Ebeltoft cove, we could watch a magnificent sunset behind Mols Bjerge. Ebeltoft is the only town on Jutland’s east coast that faces west. The apartment also opens straight onto the pedestrian street, with Ebeltoft Town Hall right next door. We picked Vigen Holiday Apartments for the location and booked spacious Apartment number 2. It had a bedroom, a bunk bed in the kitchen and living room, plus a sofa bed in the living room. We were more than pleased, it’s one of the best places we’ve stayed around Denmark. The decor was top notch, the view hard to describe, and the price absolutely reasonable.

For 750 kr a night out of season, the beds in apartment no. 3 really need replacing. The cleaning should be better too. The bathroom is very worn, and the standard is below average.
