CABINN Esbjerg Hotel

The location is good, but I can't say much for the rest. My single room was tiny, and I've worked at sea, where the cabins are bigger. The toilet area seemed designed to annoy guests, there was so little space, and when the shower tray overflowed, which happened easily, it flooded the bathroom. Breakfast was nothing special. They say you can't pour takeaway coffee, and that felt excessive. Not everyone can sit there for hours, so why couldn't I take it with me in my own mug? I was also irritated to see "KIMUA employees" coming into the canteen for breakfast in their work clothes.

The breakfast was a joke: very little choice, awful taste, and 125 DKK for it. I wasn't told at reception that paying for breakfast a day ahead costs less than paying in the morning. I'm angry and disappointed, and I wouldn't recommend visiting again. There are better hotels nearby for less money. Fix your Cabin hotel.

I wrote this at 05:11, after being woken by noise in the courtyard at 4:30. The foreign workers, who make up 90% of the hotel guests, were talking loudly outside and could easily be heard on the fourth floor. The windows aren't soundproofed. The hotel itself is fine for its price, but the noise from workers staying there is a real problem when you want to sleep until 06:30.

The single room was basic but had just enough for a weekend away on my own. The area is very good, with bars and restaurants all around, and it's a quick 10-minute walk from the main bus and train stations. The bus from Billund Airport cost around £9.50, compared with well over £100 for a taxi, and took just over an hour.
