CABINN Plus Esbjerg

The rooms were clean, and the location is great, right in the heart of town. But after a long journey, I didn't need an unpleasant, unhelpful receptionist telling me there was a reservation problem instead of sorting it out straight away. The bathroom was cold, and hearing drilling somewhere in the hotel around 8am was ridiculous.

The room worked well for what I needed. Having the shower and toilet so close together was a unique setup, but kind of fun! The staff were super nice and really helpful, even with trying the local cuisine.

The hotel is in a lovely, very central area, and the facilities are modern. It was quiet, and the mattress was okay. Still, at more than 100 euros a night, I don't think it was worth it. For work trips, I'd have preferred somewhere more comfortable with better service, even if it cost a bit more. The bathroom was extremely small, with no separation around the shower, so the floor got wet and I had to clean up the water. Breakfast was very mediocre too. At checkout, the receptionist asked me to pay for one day's breakfast. I explained that I'd paid each time, but she said it wasn't in her system. I checked my bank transactions, and after a couple of minutes of not believing me, she apparently found the payment. Seriously, you doubt customers over 130 DKK? I travel to Denmark several times a year for work. My company is Danish and has plenty of travelers, and I'll ask for this hotel to be removed from our company booking system.
