We came as a couple, aged 30 and 32, and drove all the way from Germany. Mieke was wonderful, warm, and full of useful tips. We’ll miss the place, her two lovely dogs, the cat, and the horses. Thanks again, Mieke! The peaceful location is close to the sea and ferry, and worked well as a base for trips to Langeland, Copenhagen, Lyø Island, Faaborg, Kerteminde, and more. We hiked, jogged, and cycled. In September the weather can be changeable, especially windy, though it didn’t take away from the Bed and Breakfast experience. There are just three rooms, so it felt family-like. Our room had stylish furnishings, a freestanding bathtub, and a shower in the bathroom. The bathroom was behind a curtain, which we thought was a fun change. No radio or TV suited us fine since we have those at home, and the Wi-Fi worked well when we wanted to look something up. The breakfast room was lovely, with a calming mix of old and modern decor, big candlesticks that were always lit, and a fireplace. Breakfast was sensational: orange juice, tea, coffee, two kinds of homemade bread, delicious muesli rolls, fish, sausage, cheese, muesli, yogurt, fruit, freshly cut vegetables, honey, and several jams, including homemade ones. On our last evening we had homemade chicken soup with homemade olive bread, really tasty and reasonably priced at 100 Kroner per person. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with tea and homemade cake.
