Marielyst Sleep and Go

Everything was clean, and our room was comfortable and nicely furnished. The location was hard to beat, too. We felt so welcome thanks to the very friendly owner, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it.

I keep stopping here on trips to and from mainland Europe, and this was my fifth visit. It’s cozy and elegant, with a lovely garden and outdoor seating. There are snacks and drinks on site, restaurants nearby, and it’s pet friendly. Breakfast is good, and the owner is always smiling and ready to help. Thanks, see you again soon!

Breakfast was the highlight every morning: scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, rolls, cheese, sausages, jam, different juices, and really good coffee. The shared bathrooms were clean, and with several available, we rarely had to wait long. We also enjoyed quiet evenings cooking in the kitchen, watching the sun go down, or playing billiards and table soccer. We spent almost two weeks at Marielyst Sleep‘n Go, and Ole and his crew made us feel at home with their warm, helpful welcome. It’s out in the countryside, so we could walk our dog in the nearby fields each morning. Other places are a drive away, though Copenhagen is about an hour and a half by car, making a day trip possible. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to Denmark.

The rooms were really comfortable, and the price was low. The host was incredibly kind and made the breakfast himself. It was astonishingly delicious, and the hospitality was great.
