Østersøparken Camping

From the campsite, it’s an easy bike ride to Bøtø Forest and Marielyst, and the beach is just a short walk away. We got a warm welcome and found the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. The service buildings are a bit dated, but they were clean. There’s also a little shop by reception with the basics and fresh bread each morning.

The staff were helpful and really friendly, and the campsite sits right beside a lovely sandy beach. The upkeep was careless, though, and the sanitary facilities were very outdated and untidy.

This is a review from 3 years ago, when I wrote it. I made a new Google review focused account. The service was good and the spot was okay, though it felt a bit cluttered and wooded for somewhere so close to the water. Our 5 man cottage was very small, and the mosquitos made the night miserable. It was so hot that day we had to open the windows, but then they came in. The fix would be to put mosquito nets over the windows.

The Danish sandy beach nearby was lovely, though there’s no sea view from the campsite. We stayed in a summer cottage with a double bed and three single bunk beds in a separate bedroom, plus a fully equipped kitchen and a shower with hot water. It’s another large, well kept Danish campsite. The only things I missed were a swimming pool and a gym.
