The only bright spot was the really nice neighbour, who helped us get settled while the owner was "in Brazil". We stayed in June 2019, and the place looked nothing like the pictures. It was unbelievably dirty, smelled of mold, and felt like a ghost house we wanted to get out of as soon as possible. The bed sheets had an old cigar factory smell. It was cheap, but I wouldn't stay there again even if someone paid me. We nearly left, but ended up spending the night.

The house felt snug and my room was cosy. I had everything I needed in the kitchen, and the host was friendly and attentive without hovering. I stayed one night on my own in early November 2019. Some reviewers said the house was cold, but I found it warm enough, with just 30 minutes of heating. The location was handy, about seven minutes from the ferry and bus station and around ten from the supermarket. My room and the whole second floor had no WiFi, so I took off a star.

The friendly staff couldn't make up for the poor quality. There was no heating in the room in mid-November, and the bath and shower badly needed renovation. The house was being renovated, but we weren't told. It wasn't worth the money.

The location is right in the centre, close to everything. I had an amazing stay, and the host was friendly. I'd highly recommend it.
