The beach was the highlight for me. I could walk there and have it all to myself, though there wasn’t much else to see or do nearby. It’s a cosy little place, usually quiet and not crowded, with mostly older guests. Our basic room and bathroom covered what we needed. There was a TV with a good range of Scandinavian channels, and a tiny outdoor table, but bushes blocked the view and it was so cramped we could nearly reach our neighbor’s table. The food is traditional, which has its good side, but I found it too expensive for what it was. For the same price, newer restaurants offer something more special. Breakfast was a letdown too: an American-style selection, but only one kind of bread, no vegetables, and we had to wait for the waitress to refill things. A decent place for a quiet weekend and a bit of traditional Danish culture, as long as you don’t expect much beyond that.

A car is handy for getting around because of the location, though the ferry crosses the fjord every half hour. The hotel facilities are good, the rooms are spacious, the food is good, and the staff are pleasant. A good choice if you’re after a quiet holiday.

The Inn is just 50 meters from the beach, so it seems well suited to people staying for a few days. There’s a sandy beach, a sausage parlour, and a ferry nearby. It’s right by the ocean. The same family has owned the Inn for five generations, and that experience shows. The food and drinks are traditional Danish. A nice little extra was the shot of Gammeldansk “den lille” at breakfast.

The family run hotel gave us a lovely welcome, and its restaurant is very good. I’d recommend the fish soup. I didn’t get to stay long or explore the area, so I hope I can come back.
