The staff are friendly, but it feels like the campsite is only being kept going. We booked a cabin and it felt and smelled like 2003 when we arrived. It wasn’t outright unpleasant, just gave the impression that nobody cared much about the guest experience. Broken door handles, sagging ceilings, doors that stick, broken curtains. These seem like simple things to fix, yet we still paid full price. This was my second visit, and now I don’t really feel like coming back.

This is mainly a campsite for families with children. There are approved, certified playgrounds, most with safety rubber flooring, plus a house with a dexterity game, an indoor play area, and a ball pitch. Nearly every day there’s a special event for children and adults. The new owners took over in 2018. The facilities are fine and seem a little run down, but they still work. You can see the owners are trying to reboot the place and make it the best campsite in the region, with improvements underway and plenty of activities.

The facilities were clean and in good shape, and the kids had goats and bunnies to see along with both indoor and outdoor play areas. A lovely spot, recently taken over by a really nice young couple.

Cheap, very friendly, and close to the main road.
