Breakfast in the palace was the standout for me, lots of choice and everything was topped up quickly. The rooms were clean and fine, though pretty simple. Check-in with the key box was very convenient, and the staff were great. The location is beautiful too. I’d definitely come back if I get the chance.

We had a car, so getting around from this well-located place was easy. The rooms were clean and fine. But we stayed over the weekend, and there was no breakfast, reception, or cleaning. A different kind of stay :)

The castle was a lovely setting for breakfast, and the food was good, though service ends at 9am. That makes sense for conference guests, but we found one large conference group noisy and inconsiderate, talking at the buffet and standing in doorways. Maybe management could keep an eye on that. The hotel is a little out of the way, but having a car made it no problem, and the park area is nice.

Families should know that we were moved to a separate “yellow building” away from the main hotel without being told in advance. The reception is closed on weekends and bank holidays, and we couldn’t find that information on the hotel website or a global booking site profile. When we asked for check-in details, staff were hostile and unhelpful, repeatedly telling us to “read the information” and even calling us “hostile” for asking questions. It was deeply frustrating. I found the hotel lacking in transparency and professionalism, and wouldn’t choose it if you want an easy, stress-free stay.

We stumbled on the hotel park by accident, and it was a lovely surprise. The park is beautiful, and getting to Copenhagen by S-Bahn is easy.
