It’s a charming spot in a lovely, quiet village, with friendly service and very good conditions for camping. The house is clean and has basic eating utensils, though you’ll need your own bedding. One surprise was that showers cost extra: DKR 5 for 3 minutes or DKR 10 for 10 minutes.
The owner was friendly, so that earns one star. The site is really run down and needs an upgrade. The cabins don’t have bathrooms, and the paths around the campsite aren’t lit, so bring flashlights. For a shower, remember to ask for old coins. You’ll need your own bed linen, and cleaning costs extra. The small shop and cafeteria were both closed, though there are plenty of grocery shops nearby. Some cabins let you do basic cooking. Bring toilet paper too, since there might not be any in the shared bathrooms.
The place was nice and clean, but the price and the extra charge for bed linen were the main downsides. I’ve never stayed somewhere that charged separately for linen before; it should be included in the total price. Hot showers take 5 DKK coins, so make sure you have some spare.
The place is fine for what I need, but the bus service in the area is my issue. It’s sooo infrequent.
A good family place to stay, with lots of nice play areas for the kids.
