Hotel Hedemarken

We found it a good-value option within driving distance of Legoland, about ten minutes away. The hotel is child friendly, with play areas indoors and outside, and there's also free parking with plenty of spaces. Staff were kind and helpful, and our room was clean and large enough for the three of us. We booked a two-night package through the Legoland Billund site. Billund centre is also around a ten-minute drive, with the house of Lego and places to eat or get a drink.

We booked three rooms for the family, and everyone slept really well. The beds were great, the shower was warm, and our room was warm when we arrived. Though we got in late, we could still eat at the hotel restaurant, and the meal was delicious. Breakfast was perfect too. Great hospitality, and I'd recommend this hotel for a Lego Land visit.

I chose this hotel because it was close to Billund Airport and there weren't other available options nearby. That's the only good thing I can say. The rooms are noisy, and though the furniture isn't dirty, it looks very old and worn. The bathroom smelled of urine when I went in, and the bed was so soft that I found it extremely uncomfortable.

The outdoor areas are beautifully maintained and great for children, with basketball and football areas, table tennis, a playground and a trampoline. It's a good choice for families going to Lego house or Legoland. The hotel is laid out like a motel but feels much fancier, with spacious, clean rooms, very good food and excellent breakfasts. One issue, the shower tends to flood the whole bathroom.
