Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the staff were really friendly. We spent ten lovely days at Hotel Gudhjem, right in the middle of little Gudhjem. It’s a big, cozy house, with lots of places to sit outside on the terrace and in the comfortable TV and living rooms.

There’s plenty to do if you want to spend time at the hotel, including a reading room, pool table, and games. Coffee and tea are available free at reception whenever you like, and there are elevators despite all the corridors and floors. Breakfast was very good, with eggs, fresh tasty bread, juice, coffee, and tea. The staff were extremely kind, and the rooms were very nice. The decor looks and smells like it hasn’t changed in decades, a bit like a grandparents’ home. It’s not modern, but it gives the place a certain elegance. The hotel is in a great spot and has an interesting mix of motel and hotel feel, along with an indoor pool and lovely rooftop terrace views.
