Den Gode Søvn

The beds were comfortable, it was clean, and towels were provided. Still, it felt more like student housing or a youth shelter than a hotel. There’s no reception, and you have to sort everything out yourself, including meals. Breakfast was tiny, which was a real problem on business trips where I depend on a substantial breakfast. There wasn’t any sugar or milk either. Not everyone is vegan or avoids drinking, smoking, and sugar. Maybe this works as a budget stay for students, but I wouldn’t choose it for work travel.

The rooms were in good shape and perfectly okay, though a little cramped and without any luxury. We had some trouble getting fresh air into the room during the hot weather, but managed. The place feels a bit tucked away behind things, yet restaurants and the harbor are close. We stayed before visiting Lille Vildmose the next day, as a way to start our summer holiday. Breakfast wasn’t worth the price, so next time we’ll probably handle that ourselves.

We’ve used Den gode søv again as a base for outings in Vildmosen. The only thing we’d like is a safety latch on the terrace door so we can ventilate the room. It’s very affordable, clean, pleasant, and cozy, with good beds, nice towels, and soap in the bathroom. It has everything we need for an overnight stay, and we’ll be back.

It was clean and had everything I needed, so it suited my stay really well. There’s a kitchen and common room too, which would be great if you’re travelling with others. The one drawback is the TV2 limit: only two people can be logged in to watch.
