Residens Svalhøj

We’d gladly stay here again on a future visit to Bornholm. The owner was friendly, and the room, shared toilet, and kitchen were all clean. The facilities covered what we needed, though the location was a bit far from amenities, and sheets, pillowcases, and towels cost extra. We’d recommend it to others too.

Lovely spot, and so peaceful!

The only drawback for me as a coastal-path hiker was the roughly 2 km distance from Hasle, though that’s no issue if you have a car. Svalhøj itself is lovely for relaxing, with a beautiful house, a fully equipped kitchen, and a big garden with a stream and charming places to sit. Karim was delightful, very friendly, and extremely helpful. You can also rent bicycles.

We felt really well looked after and were very satisfied. Karim was easy to communicate with and attentive to details, checking whether we needed help or had suggestions for changes. He even sent us off with recommendations for the island’s most interesting places. The location is peaceful, away from the bustle, and there’s a well-equipped kitchen with coffee and tea, plus lovely garden terraces.
