We stayed in Nyrop's Chamber and had a comfortable bed with separate duvets, a lovely view, and visits from four different house cats. The bathroom is shared on the floor, but since we were the only guests there, we had it to ourselves. Everything was clean, and I think sharing it with other guests would be fine too. The lodge sits in the forest, surrounded by beautiful nature, and the slower pace gave us a chance to reset. We visited during Denmark's strongest, snowiest winter since 1996, and the forest and nearby Paradishave looked incredible. I'm sure each season has its own beauty here. This is a cosy, laid-back bed and breakfast with a homestay feel, rather than a hotel. The century-old building was designed by Martin Nyrop, one of Denmark's most astute architects, known for Rådhuspladsen and many other works. It's an incredible spot near Copenhagen that still feels largely undiscovered. The family running the business are caring, knowledgeable, and service-minded. Even one night here was a real pleasure. We can't wait to return. Part of us hopes it stays an intimate secret, though we also hope many others get to enjoy it.

We arrived late during our road trip, but the owners still welcomed us themselves with so much warmth and hospitality. The Woodland Lodge is tucked into a beautiful, enchanting forest, and everything felt calm, cosy, and clean. We slept really well. I've already told all my friends about this lovely hotel, and we'll definitely come back!

Syska and Morten were wonderfully dedicated hosts. They shared lots of useful tips, made us feel at home, and brought us a delicious homemade breakfast each day. My wife, our two boys aged 7 and 10, and I had a wonderful stay in this charming old house. The Woodland Lodge feels like a sanctuary, surrounded by well-preserved nature, abundant wildlife, and century-old trees. A lovely place for families or couples who want to disconnect. There are hiking and biking routes from the lodge, Camp Adventure climbing park and its tree tower are very close, and central Copenhagen is an hour's drive away.

I loved being surrounded by the forest and nature at the Woodland Lodge. The rooms are lovely, and the whole house has a great sense of harmony. It's a fantastic place, and I look forward to coming back.
