The chef made our visit feel personal by telling us about the restaurant’s history and the stories behind the dishes. We were visiting from California and staying in Nørre Nebel, so Bork Kro in Sdr. Bork was an easy place to try. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, and the service was really friendly. We especially loved the homemade ice cream, which was the best we’ve had. The old-fashioned apple pie was comforting, and the Danish pancakes were light and nicely sweet. For the main courses, the Dansk bøf was full of flavor and came with traditional sides. The Frikadeller were tasty too, and the dish of the day was a fun version stuffed with vegetables. The Tartelet had a crisp shell and creamy filling. It was a warm, welcoming place, and the food and hospitality made for a special meal. We’d happily visit Bork Kor again when we’re nearby.

You can see the fields and sunset from the room, with the Danish countryside all around. The hotel is easy to find on the main road, has plenty of free parking, and is close to a bus stop. Everything was neat and clean, and the meals were delicious. The owners clearly care about their guests, and that comes through. I’d recommend staying here when visiting Denmark’s west coast.

We ended up here while looking for somewhere to eat near the end of our holiday. The kids were happy with the chicken menu, and I had the dish of the day. Both were good, and the prices seemed reasonable.

We ordered beef, which we’re waiting to try. The place is quiet but has a sociable feel, with good beer, friendly service, Wi-Fi and parking outside. Prices are moderate, and it seems nice for families. It’s close to the main road, so it might be noisy for hotel guests, but in the restaurant at night it seemed fine.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and both dinner and breakfast were great. Breakfast stood out for the homemade bread, still warm when served. I’d definitely stop here again.
