My son, who's 3.5, and I have stayed here eight times in different seasons. The reception girls are the best, always friendly and helpful. It's a quiet spot with lovely nature, mostly suited to people who enjoy the outdoors, and the facilities are great for children too. We don't have a car, but the walk into town really isn't far. The flats are good. The hotel might be a little below standard for the price :)

The location is good, close to the beach, but after four days I wouldn't choose this place for a quiet or relaxing stay. You hear every footstep in the very noisy rooms. We asked to move because of the constant noise, but reception said it was fully booked. That seemed odd given how many clean rooms and empty parking spaces we saw.

There was easy beach access, an indoor pool, good parking, and dogs are welcome. The room was clean, but dated. Ours had no kitchen, just a fridge and water boiler. New beds and bedding would be a welcome improvement, and the bathroom looks straight out of the 1960s, with all the pipes showing.

The location is fantastic, with a short walk to the lighthouse, and the town is pleasant. We were a group using 15 rooms, and the amenities varied by unit. Some bathrooms had been redone, while others were older and had a persistent sewage smell. Only one room in our block had a microwave, and just two had blackout shades. In summer the sun shines through from 4am to 10pm. The bathroom fan was weak, supposedly connected to the weak kitchen fan, so showering felt like being in a sauna. The partition doesn't reach the floor and water ended up everywhere. The complex was sold out during our week, making it stressful to get a laundry slot. The daily sign-up sheet went up at 8am and was full by 10am, and some people ignored it and jumped the line. We brought our own bath, pool and hand towels after reading reviews. Otherwise, renting two towels costs $10. There was no hair dryer either.
