Guesthouse Fensmark v/Helge Sahl

We slept comfortably, and the nature around the place was beautiful. Fantastic stay.

Helge is incredibly kind, and the old place has a charm of its own. It felt like stepping back a few years, which would have earned it two stars from me by itself. The room, though, was pretty dirty for 900 kroner for two adults and a one-and-a-half-year-old. There were cobwebs and spiders in every corner, huge gnats under all the furniture, and dust on every surface. I attached some photos. I worried about the condition of the linen and things like that, though my impression was that it was clean. We often need to stay in the area, but unfortunately this will be our last visit.

The sauna was a big plus for me, and the place itself is really cozy and well located. The owner was super friendly too. I had a fantastic stay at the guesthouse, definitely a place worth visiting.

The beds were comfortable, and there’s a lovely garden to sit in. It’s a very simple stay in a private house, with a friendly host who was chatty and keen to help. The bathroom is shared, and unfortunately there’s no option to buy breakfast.
