The outdoor grounds have a charming feel, and the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious, the doors locked, and parking was available, though the rough surface made rolling suitcases difficult. Breakfast was fine if you’re not vegan or vegetarian. The castle itself looks pretty from outside, but for the high price, the room we had outside the main building felt dated and poorly built, without the interior you’d expect at that price. The advertised kitchen was missing basic equipment, and its old, noisy fridge-freezer couldn’t keep food properly. There were instant coffee and tea bags but no cups. The room was under a large tree and had almost no light inside; the lamp controls were confusing. The shower had spiderwebs and bugs, and it wasn’t cleaned during our stay. Wi-Fi kept dropping and didn’t reconnect on its own, and it was too slow for Netflix. The beds were stiff, while the pillows were so soft I needed five stacked for head support. There’s a lot of potential here, but it badly needs an upgrade.

Fun entertainment for a range of ages, with beautiful surroundings. Before release, they give you an introduction that includes the adjustments made to meet covid19 regulations.

The surroundings are amazing, and both the food and service were great. I stayed one night for a wedding, and it was a lovely spot for a quiet, romantic getaway.

A peaceful place with lovely surroundings, but the rooms need renovating. Some staff were quite impolite, and the cleaning was below standard.
