The team were incredibly kind, helpful and attentive from the start, and guided us through every stage of planning our wedding. Laden-1877 was the perfect space for our dream day, with a beautiful, fully equipped venue and stunning gardens around it. Thanks again for hosting us! 🙏

The lovely natural setting makes the hotel itself all the more disappointing. The venue is beautiful, but our room wasn’t clean, and the polyaesryne cups felt cheap and not environmentally friendly for such an aware country. The bed was uncomfortable and, shockingly, was a pull-out. The shower was in the room itself, like something from the 1950s. We might have put up with all that if the price had been low, but it didn’t feel like good value for money. Sorry to be harsh, but these things seem easy to change and could make the stay much nicer.

It was nice to see this historical landmark preserved so well for modern use. Keeping heritage and the land’s ecology matters, even though this can’t be an easy business model. I only wish I’d been able to stay longer.

The room was tiny, less than a matchbox, with a mattress on wheels tucked under the bed that we had to pull out ourselves. We’d booked for a friend’s wedding and had asked whether the rooms were singles or doubles, since we’d travelled a long way and wanted a proper rest after the party. They assured us there was plenty of space for both of us in the available single room with a fold-out bed, and after some convincing we agreed. I honestly think people in prison get more space. We paid 160 euro, including breakfast, which was a waste of money unless you like two buns with some salami and cheese on them. We complained, but they weren’t interested in hearing it. To be fair, it was our fault for booking this ultra-expensive, no-service B&B. Next time we’ll know better. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It’s way too overpriced, so save your money and grab an air bnb.
