Bilberghus - Beyond Bed & Breakfast

We especially loved the quiet mornings and evenings in this charming little house right by the water. It’s cozy inside and has everything you need, and the hostess was warm and helpful. We stayed four nights and found the beach, a nearby town, and a supermarket easy to get to. The high dunes by the closest beach were a highlight. Highly recommend it.

We stumbled across this place on Booking.com while planning a Denmark road trip and booked it on the spot. It’s beautiful, snug, and has what you need to enjoy the Danish surroundings. Linda was lovely, and even checked in with us in the morning. The breakfast she brought right to our door was fantastic. We only had one night and really didn’t want to leave. Highly recommended!

You can park very close, although you can’t drive right up to the cottage. Once there, each cottage has a lovely water view, and we could watch the sunrise from bed every morning. They’re nicely designed and have cooking basics like pots, cutlery, and a frying pan. There’s a shop about 2 km away, and a path leads to a big beach roughly 1.5 km from the cottages. It’s a great place to unplug and be close to nature. My only gripe was that there wasn’t a hairdryer, though maybe the host simply overlooked it.

The three of us, my husband, our dog and me, had such a lovely weekend at Bilberghus! The cabins are cozy and lovely, and the nature around them is magnificent 🌊 We’re already looking forward to coming back. Best from all three of us.
