The price seems fair for what you get, and there’s laundry service. Still, getting into Copenhagen takes around 20 to 30 minutes, so I wouldn’t pick this place if the city is the main reason for your trip. There’s a bus stop just outside the former Danish army base, but the quiet surroundings can feel pretty remote, or even a bit depressing, depending on what you like. The rooms still have a barracks feel. It covers the basics for a stay near Copenhagen.

It’s a peaceful place to rest, and the shared bathroom and toilet worked fine for me. The rooms are simple but good, everything was very clean, and the shared kitchen and lounge are practical and pleasant. I asked in advance about a longer stay and got a quick reply with a good price. Shops aren’t right nearby, though Lidl and Netto are about 1 km away.

The airport is very close, which made catching an early flight easy. We stayed in an old refurbished military camp, with a friendly atmosphere, a practical kitchen, and everything kept clean and simple. Getting the key after 22:00 was easy with the code box, but we couldn’t get the free wifi code because reception was closed. It should be sent with the booking and key box details, or left in the room. There’s a modern smoke alarm, though refugees staying there were covering or disabling it while smoking waterpipes, despite the rules against it.

Public transport makes this hostel a great base near Copenhagen. Do make time to enjoy our beautiful city and nature too!
