The hotel feels old and has a bit of a strange smell. My room was noisy, with its windows facing the Main Street of Ikast. Parking is free on the streets outside, which is what they mean by free parking. I never managed to use a gym. The nearby one wouldn't let me get the app working, and the other place they directed me to was 500m away. I couldn't use its lockers because they needed coins, something the hotel hadn't mentioned. After 1 hours, I went back to my room without getting to exercise. At breakfast, dirty plates from other guests stayed on the buffet for the 30 min I was there, with no staff clearing them. The staff seemed stressed, and perhaps that's why they didn't come across as very helpful. I paid 1000dkk for one night and didn't feel I got value for the money. It wasn't a very nice stay.

I felt welcome the whole time at Hotel Medi. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were warm and helpful. Everything seemed well looked after, and the service was top-notch. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast was below par, and during the 30-40 min we were there, nobody came to tidy up or replenish anything. The rooms have no sound isolation either, so you can clearly hear a neighbour using the restroom. The bar also closes at 21.00, which was a letdown. Still, it's pretty cheap, and the location is great. For one night, that makes it alright.

The lounge shuts at 21:00, after which you have to head down to the musty cellar. Reception was very good, but the price performance was very bad. During my 10 days there, the room was cleaned just once.

The staff were very pleasant, but breakfast was terrible. For the price, the accommodation was average. Sorry, that's just how it was.
