We picked Skovdal Kro because it was close to where my colleague and I had to work the next day. The rooms were really nice, and the surroundings idyllic. There’s an easy walk along the lake across the street. We were the only guests there out of season, so we weren’t expecting much from breakfast, but the spread in the restaurant the next morning was a lovely surprise: bread, boiled eggs, cake, two kinds of juice, yogurt and fresh fruit. They really care about their customers. I can only recommend staying here!

We spent five nights at the inn as a family, with our two-year-old. The room was decent, with local TV channels, its own bathroom and access to a small private terrace, and it was cleaned daily. Dinner at the inn was very good too. I had salmon to start and pork jaws for the main. A great spot for a short break, with a traditional feel and modern Danish touches. I’d recommend it to anyone.
