The staff were so friendly and helpful, and what started as a one-night booking turned into four nights. We used the hotel as a base to explore the area and wished we could have stayed longer. It felt like a lovely hidden gem. It’s a 105-year-old place, so there are a few quirks. The bathroom fans are really loud and could use replacing, though we just switched the light and fan off when leaving, so it wasn’t a problem. There was also an issue with the computer system, but the staff kept everyone informed and made sure it didn’t bother us. We could relax in the clean, basic rooms, with no pretense and excellent service. We even left the window open all night without mosquitoes or noise. Just great!

The hotel is clean, the breakfast buffet is good, and the staff are very accommodating. Its location is great, too. The rooms, though, feel very old in both their equipment and comfort. It really needs investment in more modern furnishings and a renovation. A large flat-screen TV alone doesn’t make it five-star.

The restaurant and terrace have beautiful views over the fjord, especially when you can sit back and enjoy the sunset. The hotel is lovely, with charming rooms that are a little dated. Service was friendly and nice.

The building is extremely poorly maintained, and our stay was a terrible experience. Our underground room was horrific: the door was broken, the bin hadn’t been emptied, and the toilet paper had already been used by another customer. Service was okay, but there were hardly any workers at the hotel. Jyllinge is a small town without much to enjoy. I’d recommend nearby Roskilde instead.

Breakfast was wonderful, and the village is very aesthetic. The rooms are a little outdated, but cozy and serve their purpose. It’s a nice place by the sea, with beautiful views and friendly staff.
