The lovely, untouched forest and river are worth seeing. Salmon used to spawn in the river, and after some regulation work it seems they may be coming back. For about 15 minutes of walking, you can get a sense of what this country might have looked like without so much agriculture and industry. Then it's back to endless fields 😐

The restaurant food was delicious, with local specialties, and nicely presented. The room was comfortable, though quite small, and the surroundings were lovely for a walk.

The area around the conference center is fantastic, and the staff are nice. The food isn't bad, and I like the idea of an organic kitchen, but quality matters too. The meat was tender, yet tasteless and boring.

Skarrildhus sits in wonderfully scenic surroundings and feels like a lovely little gem of traditional accommodation, paired with a modern, tasty ecological menu. Our double room had a comfortable bed, a shower for one person, and a pleasant view. Would recommend.
