The location and animals were a big part of what I loved, and the room and bathroom were absolutely beautiful. Service was great too. The owner did a fantastic job. I'd definitely visit again if I can.

The Wi-Fi had good speed and a solid connection, which I appreciated. The warm rolls at breakfast were good too, and the owner brought the tray to our room at the appointed time. She apologized about the missing creamer and soap, then brought shampoo and conditioner, explaining that all Danes use shampoo as body wash. I was willing to adapt, but the rest of the stay was very poor. We had researched places for two nights in this part of Denmark. This wasn't our first choice, but we thought it would be okay. We were very mistaken. The house has four separate rooms with their own entrances, about 25 feet from the pasture where the cows roam. The smell of cow dung hit us as soon as we got out of the car. We arrived at 6pm. Sunlight had made the room stifling hot, like a greenhouse. There was just one opening window, only 16" x 12", so we had to leave the entry door open to get air, with the cat that roams the property potentially able to come in. The room was dirty, full of spider webs, and poorly supplied. There was no soap or shampoo for a shower. After dinner we came back and collapsed onto the bed without covers because of the heat. In the morning I boiled water in the kettle for instant coffee, but there was no sugar or creamer. The shower and toilet shared a tiny room measuring 3 feet x 4 feet. The only sink was in the main room, and there was no mirror for shaving. The room was generally dirty, and there was mold on the door. I couldn't feel comfortable using the comforter because I had no confidence it had been cleaned after the previous guest. I rarely give one star, less than 5% of my reviews, but I feel I need to warn fellow travelers about such unsatisfactory conditions. I've traveled all over the world, and this place is worse than most places I've stayed in third world countries. See the photos I've taken. I hope the owner takes these comments seriously and improves the accommodation for future guests.

My family loved staying here. The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated, and the kids especially loved the animals, including the kittens.
