Kolding Hotel Apartments

Don't expect much here. The apartments all seem to have the same layout, with only the window view changing. The kitchen and furniture are very old, and cleaning seems limited to what you can see, with nothing done under the beds. Towels and sheets weren't changed during my seven-day stay. On the plus side, breakfast was pretty good, parking was good enough, and reception was kind and helpful.

The apartment had plenty of space and all the kitchen equipment we needed, including dishes and cutlery for up to eight, pots and pans, a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. We booked a place for six, and the photos had led us to expect two bedrooms, one with two sets of bunk beds. Instead, there were three: one with a bunk bed, one with two single beds, and one with a double that could split into twins. I took off a star because it was very noisy. We knew we'd booked a street-facing unit, but hadn't expected construction right across from us. Hammering and nailing went on much of the day, making it hard to keep the windows open to cool the apartment. To be fair, they did provide several pairs of earplugs.

Our stay was comfortable, and the room was clean, spacious, and nicely designed. The hotel is well placed by a pleasant lake and close to the city center.

The apartment was spacious, and I liked having a fully equipped kitchen so I could cook some meals. Staff were nice, and the location is great, just a short walk from the center. We stayed two nights, and there are plenty of interesting places around Kolding if you're driving. Parking is spacious but costs 45dkk per day. My only complaints were that the interior felt dated and I didn't really enjoy the shower.
