Hotel Koldingfjord

Susan and I spent two nights here in March this year. We had great food and enjoyed the lovely location in wonderful weather. Hannah at reception gave us excellent service right from the start. We’ll be back. Greetings from Vancouver, Canada, Henrik.

I hope I get to visit Hotel Kolding Fjord again someday. Staying here felt like a dream, and the landscape, people, and food were all wonderful.

The peaceful setting and elegant, beautiful hotel made our stay feel like a real retreat. The facilities were top-notch, and we had a wonderful time overall. There was one letdown in the restaurant: while we were having coffee, a staff member seemed rude and made us feel as if we were being hurried out to the garden. We knew they were preparing for a wedding, but as paying guests, we still expected proper service. Apart from that incident, our stay was excellent, and we'd recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxurious place.

The cake was delicious, and the terrace views were stunning, which helped make up for a slow, poor welcome. We had booked a table at Cafe Louise to celebrate, though we weren't staying at the hotel. Beforehand, we called to arrange a cake for our arrival. At first the staff were quite blunt and said we couldn't come for cake because another celebration was taking place. They eventually agreed, but it wasn't clear what kind of cake they'd provide or what it would cost. When we arrived, nobody greeted or seated us for some time, and our drinks order took a while too.
