The staff made my stay, they were so kind, welcoming, and helpful. The location was fantastic too, with everything easy to reach. Inside, the hotel has a classic charm that made it feel like stepping into a movie, though some corridors and floors show their age. My room was comfortable and fine. Breakfast was enjoyable, but the choices were the same every day, so a little more variety would have been welcome. The internet in my room was slow at times, though it worked well in the common areas. I really enjoyed the stay and would happily return if I'm back in the area. Thank you for everything!

A great choice for families. The playroom is perfect for kids, and during holidays they often have ice cream for them. It's quite cheap, with larger and nicer rooms than other nearby hotels. The house is a charming old 19th-century building, of course, but that's part of its appeal.

The reception was exceptionally friendly, and everything was clean. The breakfast was pretty ordinary, with not much choice. The hotel has an old-fashioned feel, especially compared with the place across the street, which seems from another time. I really appreciated the free coffee, cakes, and popcorn. It's just 1 minute from the rail station.

The staff were genuinely good, and the included breakfast was more than enough. My basic single room had a huge window over the courtyard and surprisingly comfortable chairs. There was no air conditioning, though, and one night I could hear Germans talking loudly until very late in a neighboring building. It may not have been the hotel's fault, but after the family event I was already worn out, and I went back to England exhausted. I came because I was born in Kolding and was returning for my farmor's funeral, possibly to say goodbye to Kolding and Denmark too. When I was a child, this was one of the poshest places in town, with a bakery that was the best in Jutland. That time has passed. The hotel is old and badly needs renovation, though the location is great and the prices seem competitive. I couldn't have afforded it when it was at its best. If I ever return, I might try a double room, perhaps in spring or autumn when it's cooler.
