Carsten and Mathias made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. The place has an old-fashioned hotel charm, with antiques, and I felt at home whether I was there for ten minutes or two nights. I’d planned to stay one night but extended it as soon as I got there. They speak fluent English, German, Spanish, and Danish, of course. Call them directly instead of booking through a big website if you want an extra discount. I can’t recommend this place enough.

The host is warm-hearted, and the hotel has plenty of character. It feels authentic, even if it’s a little worn around the edges.

We won’t be coming back. It’s the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. There was an old-house smell, though not in the room, and the bathroom had no shampoo. Everything looked very worn, even though the beds were actually quite good.

The location is brilliant: the swimming area is quick to reach, you can see the harbor, and the shops and restaurants are only a few minutes away. The house has a great feel that suits the old town, the service is really good, and the owner's bar is very nice too.
