Hine Bakke Guest House

The breakfast was a real treat: homemade pancakes and bread, lovely yogurt, and the best soft-boiled eggs I’ve ever had. Our hosts were so accommodating and keen to make sure we had what we wanted. The rooms were good, and a lot of the house has been newly renovated. It’s also a great spot, about a 10-minute walk from Rudkøbing. We’re two older couples and would happily stay again on Langeland.

There’s a roomy shared kitchen with a fridge, freezer, and everything needed to cook. The smaller rooms are cleverly laid out, with thoughtful details and practical decor. The main drawback is the highway noise if you leave the window open. It’s about a 20-minute walk into the center.

For 830 dkk, we expected breakfast to be included, or at least to be told clearly whether it was. As a place to sleep, though, it seemed quite reasonable and clean. Expect the basics, the necessary amenities, and friendly hosts, and you should be fine. Thanks for the one-night stay.

We loved our July stay. The location was great, with everything we needed nearby, and the port was about 10 minutes away. You can rent a boat or yacht there, or take a ferry. The hosts were very kind, and you could tell they put care and affection into looking after their guests.
