The portions are huge. We ordered a two-course meal and were so full after the first course that we couldn’t finish the main. The food was delicious, and the service was great. The outdoor seating area welcomes dogs.

The bathroom wasn’t especially comfortable or nice, though hygiene was fine. The rooms are bare and have a very American motel feel. Breakfast was less generous than what we’d had at other hotels and bed-and-breakfasts in Denmark.

I’ve stayed here twice, and I can’t fault Hotel Skudehavnen or Jane (owner). The location is great, the service is awesome, and the food is even better. The rooms and apartments are so-so, but you don’t come here to spend your time in them anyway.

Our booked room wasn’t available, so we were moved to an apartment, but the beds hadn’t been made. The advertised WiFi and TV service were out of order. Breakfast was very basic, and they were too understaffed to keep it replenished.

The rooms are simple and a little old-fashioned, but the breakfast was good and the price felt fair. It’s also close to the marina.
