Breakfast was pretty nice, especially the warm bread buns. The room was still quite clean, but it was very old and run down, and had nothing but a TV and bed, not even a bedside lamp. It’s very simple and sparse, but okay if you’re on a tight budget for just a night or two.

They made sandwiches for us. In Denmark, places to eat don’t open until around six in the evening.

The food was lovely at both dinner and the big breakfast buffet, and the service was fantastic. We had booked two nights, and when we arrived the room was ready as agreed. It was a good size and had exactly what we needed for an overnight stay. Dinner that evening was grandma-style food, lovely minced beef with soft onions. When I tried to book a table for the next night, I was disappointed to hear it was roast pork evening. I explained we’d driven three hours to try their mure balje (huge tartelet), so they checked with the chef and made us the most lovely huge tartelet instead. Thanks for a couple of lovely days.
