Danhostel Vitskøl Kloster

It was a pleasant stay, with clean, nicely sized rooms, a good breakfast, and hostel quality that was very good. The young people with special needs who run it are getting useful training in the service industry. They were friendly and service-minded, which I found really inspiring.

It’s close to the beach, and parking is free. The building has a stylish look that follows the original monastery that stood here, and everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was great. I had a really unique, very positive feeling about the place. I was especially impressed by the hotel’s project. Bringing together the people who take part and such a unique place is a great idea. Thanks to all the good people I met there.

The rooms are large and furnished very minimally, with your own fridge and bathroom, which was nice. Breakfast in the cellar was good. It’s a beautiful, pleasant place near the Limfjord.

The training hotel for hospitality students was the best part for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the charm of this historic 12th-century monastery, renovated in the 16th-17th century. The rooms are spacious, with typical Danish understated design, and the bathrooms and heating were good. Breakfast was generous, and thank goodness there was no TV.
