We came here because the food at the hotel where we were staying was very boring, and this place delivered. The three plates we ordered, with meat or fish, were all piled high with good-quality food: generous meat portions, loads of potatoes or fries, and a lovely selection of vegetables or salad. They even brought extra fries without us asking. The drinks were generously sized too, and the prices were decent for what you got. It's a relatively small restaurant with a lovely waitress and clean toilets. The old-fashioned interior felt genuine and properly Danish, and the atmosphere was fantastic. There was a good choice of food and drinks. If you're after fancy, posh food, go somewhere else. For big plates of proper good food, come here.

The schnitzel was the biggest I've ever eaten. The kitchen was understaffed or something, so the three of us could only choose one kind of dish, but we didn't regret it. See if you can manage to finish the whole thing. Greetings to the friendly Dutch owner. You won't get portions this big in Holland, and probably not in Germany either. Prices are a little above average, but everything is local produce and worth the money.

We barely slept. The ventilation was loud but didn't work well, and we kept the window shut because of the street noise and all the spiders outside. Our room had no private bathroom, just a small shower room along the corridor. The rooms are very basic, with dated decor and some strange, bad artwork. The others in our group had to get six big spiders out of their room. Not pleasant, unless you like spiders.

The staff were really friendly and trustworthy, and the food and drinks were great. We slept like royalty. It was just right for us, simple and reasonably priced, with rooms big enough for a large dog like ours.
