Hotel Nysted Havn

There are just eight rooms, and the staff were super friendly. We checked about arriving late in advance, and it was no problem. Our host Jens left the keys on the counter with a nice note. Our room on the second floor had a French balcony, with a great view over the harbour and even the wind park more than 15 km to the south. First-floor rooms have regular balconies. The room was a little rustic but nicely decorated, with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and came with a good choice of pillows. May nights were chilly, though, so extra coat hangers and another soft blanket would have helped. Breakfast was simple but just what you'd expect at a small town hotel: tasty breads and rolls, jam, spreadable and sliced cheese, cold cuts, hard-boiled eggs, granola, plus fresh fruit and sweets that changed daily. We never left hungry. We always found a parking spot, either on the street outside or in the public lot across the street, only 20 metres away. The lot also has two electric chargers. We visited off-season, so it might be harder to park that close in summer. It's a lovely village with pleasant nature and walking routes, and museums and attractions are a short drive away. We had a really nice stay.
