Hotel Stokkegaardens BnB & Apartments

The owner is cheating paying customers and the booking platform. I had a valid reservation that was already paid for and couldn't be changed or cancelled, but he called and pretended to cancel my accommodation. Nothing was formally cancelled, and there was no refund or anything like that. Instead, he sold my room a second time to someone else for more money. He told me this to my face on the spot. I've used the booking service for 20 years and this is the first time I've experienced anything like it. I was absolutely shocked. Perhaps this could happen somewhere far outside Europe, but certainly not in developed Denmark. When I insisted on the accommodation I'd paid for and had a valid reservation for, the owner was arrogant, with no sign of humility or understanding. I got the impression he wanted to throw me and my family out. Because it was late, and our reservation was valid and already paid for, my family and I were put under pressure. I can't recommend this hotel. At check-in, only my family and me were in the hotel, and there were four people in the room we'd booked with someone else.
