The location is great, and most of the staff were helpful and friendly. The older blonde waiter in the bar was officious and rude, with a bad attitude. The hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment, which made the stay very disappointing.

The young woman working at the bar really made an effort for us, and without her the experience would have been horrible. We don't speak Danish, which made things a headache here. The food and service were bad, the beautiful garden pond was old and outdated, and the place needs a proper clean.

The lake view from the big terrace shows how much potential this place has, but nothing seems to be done for the guests. The receptionist wasn't friendly and didn't even ask how the stay had been. The building feels like a trip back in time, with an old mini golf course from the 80s. The hotel itself is really old, the rooms and reception are very outdated, and it wasn't particularly clean. There was a bad smell in the building, and I found a sweeping tray on the bed when I arrived. Why not just put a simple cleaning note on the door? Breakfast was frozen items, and the coffee was poor, even though there are really nice bakeries around. It doesn't deserve even one star. Really disappointed.
