The hotel rooms feel modern and look inviting. It’s also a nice spot for cycling, and there’s crazy golf at the hotel, with good local courses nearby for more serious golfers. The setting itself is lovely for a family outing or a romantic dinner, and the food menu is extensive, with everything presented to a high standard.

The sloe beer was especially good with the food, and I’d definitely try the ice cream too 😉. I enjoyed the food’s authentic taste, and this cozy restaurant is a lovely place to sample traditional Danish dishes. It’s outside the city, but the 35-minute drive from the center felt worthwhile for spending a couple of hours here.

The staff were friendly, efficient, and spoke English, which helped since I don’t know Danish yet. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, though it felt a bit out of the way to me, or maybe it’s central and I just don’t know the area. I was there for my employer’s Christmas dinner, and everything was nicely prepared. There were a few small cleanliness issues, with cobwebs in several places and dust visible to taller guests. Otherwise, everything was great.

We had a really warm welcome from the friendly staff, and the portions of traditional Danish food were very generous. Sitting outside would make this an especially nice choice in summer.

The food was perfect, and the staff were okay, though they didn’t seem especially service-minded. The decor feels like cheap 80s style. It doesn’t suit a building from 1721, and it isn’t modern either. For a tavern, I feel like it should go one way or the other.
