4/10
The friendly, welcoming staff and the quiet location were definite positives, and we liked the hotel’s design. The free drink machines for guests were a nice touch too. But the problems outweighed those good points during our stay at Hotel Melfarhus in Middelfart. The mattress toppers kept sliding off the bed overnight and made it hard to sleep. Wi-Fi was extremely inconsistent, often unreliable for work, watching series, or even regular browsing. Booking the gym was frustrating as well: apparently it can only be reserved online, with very limited payment options. We asked the hotel for help and never heard back, even after more than a week. Those technical issues and the lack of response left us a little disappointed.

2/10
The hotel is nicely designed and sits in a very quiet area, and the staff were friendly. Still, my stay at Hotel Melfarhus in Middelfart was disappointing. The Wi-Fi was awful and barely usable much of the time. Breakfast had very little variety, and the selection was so small you could easily leave hungry. I contacted the hotel for help but never got a reply.

A newly opened hotel with the best hotel gym I’ve ever seen 🙌🏽 Check-in was really easy online, and we had a pleasant stay with a tasty breakfast.

Good hotel for the price, with friendly, helpful staff. The check-in app and keycard app take some getting used to.

The hotel is modern and in great condition. The rooms are small, and noise carries easily from the hallway and adjoining rooms.
