The owner was super friendly, and the place itself is beautiful. Highly recommended.

Our wedding anniversary trip was cancelled by Liselund Ny Slot the day before the anniversary. We had to find somewhere else at the last minute, and it cost three times as much. Liselund had no real response beyond saying it wasn’t their fault and suggesting we celebrate the next day. It seems to me they cancelled because we’d paid through a third party, hoping to give our booking to someone else while keeping our prepaid reservation for later. That’s an utterly repulsive disregard for a guest’s circumstances and for the financial consequences of this practice.

The grounds are unbelievably beautiful, and I had a lovely morning walk in the woods. There used to be a path to the beach to see Mons Klint, but a lightning strike blocked it. The hotel looks luxurious, though it’s actually quite mediocre. My room was small but nice, the shower didn’t really work, and breakfast was just okay.

Coffee, birdsong, and a view of the English park. The atmosphere felt like the most romantic one ever to me.
