Pension Elmehøj

It’s a fun place to stay on Møn, with great hosts and other guests who are fun to talk with. The shared kitchen is small, but everyone works together. Groceries are 3 km away in Borre, and Møns Klimt and Liselund are within biking distance.

The rooms were clean, and the owner was genuinely helpful. Breakfast was plenty for us, with meat, cheese, bread, and yogurt. The trouble was the noise: one family kept going past midnight, with kids stomping and doors constantly slamming. Sound carries all along the corridor, even with both doors shut, so light sleepers may struggle. Apart from that, it was a pleasant stay.

The setting was lovely, with pretty evening light, and the hosts were kind. It felt like good value, too. The building is an interesting 1930s place, possibly once a home for older people. They sell frozen meals and beer from a fridge, but the nearest food seems to be a market about 4 km away, so plan ahead.

One of the cheaper stays on møn, right across from the old church. There’s a kitchen, and you can buy frozen food if going out isn’t an option. Breakfast costs 65 DKK, though it’s not especially lavish. Bring your own bedding and linen to save money. You can also rent a tent for the garden, and use the trampoline and BBQ.
